José Calleja Otero has announced his resignation as district executive minister for the Puerto Rico District effective Dec. 6. He began the role on July 12, 2015. During his years as a member of the Council of District Executives he served as a member of the Ministry Issues Committee as well as the Council’s representative to the Mission and Ministries Planning Council. He holds degrees from the Theological Institute of the Church of the Brethren in Puerto Rico as well as a Bachelor of Science in communications technology from the Inter-American University of Puerto Rico. He also served as a professor of New Testament for the Theological Institute from 2010 to 2013.
