QUERY PUT ON HOLD

The query sent from the Illinois/Wisconsin District to Annual Conference after action of district conference delegates this past year has been put on hold, at the request of the Annual Conference officers. The officers have recommended some refinements in the language of the query, making it more general in its request, as queries with specific, yes-and-no questions are being discouraged under current polity.

District leadership will work on those refinements, preparing an updated version of the query to come back to the 2024 district conference for approval. It would then return to the Annual Conference pipeline with the hope of being part of business at the 2025 Church of the Brethren Annual Conference in Greensboro, N.C.
