DISTRICT HYMN SING & ICE CREAM SOCIAL
A great district ice cream social and hymn sing took place at the old Emmert Cemetery and Meetinghouse near Franklin Grove on Sept. 27, with more than 40 people from at least six congregations and some community members attending. It was a wonderful, sunny afternoon of food, fellowship, and music. The walls of the little chapel on the property rang with the sounds of hymns, and homemade ice cream and cake were enjoyed by all. Special thanks to the Dixon congregation and former Franklin Grove members for all their work in helping the event come together.
