The board of Pinecrest Manor recently established a $1,000.00 scholarship to honor the memory of Jim Renz, a visionary and dedicated 49 year board member who died this past May. The scholarship is to be awarded in the spring to a graduating high school senior from Oregon High School or a student who is a member of any Church of the Brethren congregation within the Northern District of Illinois-Wisconsin.
