IN OUR PRAYERS

A district prayer calendar has been created for your use in praying for our district and related programs through the year. We invite you to include the following in your prayers in coming weeks:

Week of Oct. 11: Pray for the Church of the Brethren Mission & Ministry Board as it meets this week, for general secretary David Steele, and for all the members of our district who work in denominational staff positions.

Week of Oct. 18: Pray for the Walnut Grove congregation, and for the financial stewardship and investment work of Eder Financial and Eder president Nevin Dulabaum (Highland Avenue).

Week of Oct. 25: Pray for the Cherry Grove congregation near Lanark, and for the work of the Brethren Historical Library and Archives in Elgin.

Week of Nov. 1: Pray for the Illinois/Wisconsin District conference that will be occurring thisc oming weekend in Polo, as delegates gather to do the business of the church and others join them for worship, fellowship, and service. Especially remember in prayer moderator Jocelyn Watkins (Peoria First), moderator-elect Sharon Rice (York Center), and conference coordinator Debbie Noffsinger as they carry leadership responsibilities.5

Week of Nov. 8: Pray for the Neighborhood (Boulder Hill) congregation in Montgomery, and for the communications ministry of the denomination’s “Messenger” magazine.

Week of Nov. 15: Pray for the Naperville congregation, and for the Church of the Brethren congregations and members in India.
