The theme for NYC 2006 was "Come and See," based on John 1:35-39. In this passage, when the disciples asked Jesus where he was staying, instead of just telling them, he invited them to "come and see." This is in keeping with Church of the Brethren heritage; letting actions speak louder than words. By inviting the disciples to come and see, Jesus was calling them to a disciples life. NYC was our youth’s invitation to come and see who God is calling them to become as individuals, as disciples of Christ, as the Church of the Brethren, and as people of God living in a broken world. Jesus' invitation to the disciples, and to our youth, was to "Come and See." Ask one of the almost 100 District youth and advisors who went what they saw!
